Grading
Standards
We
have found that most dealers and collectors do not want a formal
grading standard applied to each authenticated Beanie baby.
Therefore, Pbbags will no longer issue any formal grade on each
certificate. Rather, we will comment on tags which are in exceptionally
nice condition, by noting "MWMT" (Mint with Mint Tags)
and "MWMT - Museum Quality" in the comments section
of the certificate, if applicable. It will be the responsibility
of the seller to accurately describe the condition of the hang
tag, tush tag, and Beanie.
MWMT-MQ ("Mint with mint tags; Museum Quality"):
“Mint with Mint tags, Museum Quality” - This grade is given to a beanie that is in perfect condition in every way. There are no noticable flaws is either the hang tag, tush tag, or the beanie. This is the highest grade given to a beanie.
MWMT-("Mint with mint tags") :
This grade is given to a beanie that is very close to perfect, and with the exception of a small minor imperfection, would have received the “MWMT-Museum Quality” grade. Some examples of imperfections that would allow a non flawless beanie to receive a MWMT grade would be: very light short wrinkle at the dip of the heart, thumbnail mark on the tag, very minor wear at hole or fold, very light crease on the back of the tag, very minor mark on the beanie, hangtag or tushtag,
NOTE:
PBBAGS will always disclose any writing or stickers/ residue
inside of the swing tag, or other imperfections which can
not be seen while the beanie is in the case.
